Presented are a matched pair of old kerosene fuelled chimney lamp navigation lights that
are large enough to have been used on an ocean going vessel. They are authentic, top opening, running lights manufactured
by Tung Woo of Hong Kong whose products were used on ships worldwide since the 19th Century. They are likely from the
1920's or earlier, and should not be confused with a reproduction or replica. Also compare sizes. Many similar looking lights
are appreciably smaller and were used on riverboats. We take great pride in what we sell, our detailed descriptions
and quality pictures. The lights are most suitable for those who appreciate the cache, and character of nautical equipment
that has been used at sea, and consequently shows appropriate marks of age, and minor imperfections, all of which add to their
charm. Tung Lee is an old and respected manufacturer of Navigation Lights. The company was founded by British
man, when Hong Kong was a Crown Colony. Tung Lee's operations date from the mid 1800's. They have long been out-of-business.
Unfortunately, the scarcity of the real ones have brought on a rash of replicas and out right fakes. If you're attracted by
a low price, beware. The likelihood is its a fake.
